A quality check of plates and pinions is conducted in the cell. For this purpose, the workpieces are picked up carefully by the mechatronic 2-finger parallel gripper WSG, identified by an RFID reader and placed in the corresponding test station with sensitive force. The actual applied gripping forces and strokes are measured by optional force measurement fingers or the integrated stroke measuring system of the WSG. This analyzable process data can be used directly for regulation of the force or transmitted live to higher level controllers and information systems for quality assurance purposes.
